Ethan Barker
Registered Psychologist
Ethan is a registered general psychologist with experience working with re-entry support services, employment services, and disability services. He holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) First Class from Central Queensland University.
Ethan brings experience working with NDIS as he supported individuals who experience neurodivergence, intellectual disability, and personality disorders. While working with the NDIS, he was focused on developing an individual’s capacity for independent daily living, particularly with developing emotional regulation and social skills.
Ethan works with a wide range of clients, including individuals across the lifespan (5yrs+), individuals with disabilities, and individuals identifying with the LGBTQI+ community. Ethan specialises in anxiety, depression, anger management, and developing self-esteem through utilising cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing.
Ethan is passionate about providing a holistic, collaborative, and person-centred approach to his therapeutic practice. He focuses on utilising the strengths of an individual to build their capacity to overcome psychological barriers and live their desired lifestyle.
